I am so sick and tired of people complaining about slavery like it was yesterday.  Give it a rest.  My mom didn’t own my dad.  It was hundreds of years ago.  I am not saying there aren’t still injustices for black people today, there are.  But lets talk about who invented the elevator or the air conditioner.  We don’t have to forget the past, but let’s talk about some positives.  Do we really wanna be back in Africa?  Last I checked they are struggling over there.  Was it right that my great great grandma and grandpa we someone’s property?  NO!  Was it right that they were ripped from their home?  NO!  But am I thankful I live in America, where there are opportunities, decent healthcare, and an easily accessible school system?  YES!  So thanks great great grandma, for enduring the pains you did, so that I have a better opportunity.
